Freedom of Choice
Recently one of my friends is angry.

Because her Taiwanese friends always speak Chinese
though they are together with people who can't understand Chinese.

She asked them not to speak Chinese when she is with them.
They answered back to her.

'If you are annoyed, you can get out.
You have freedom of choice.
We don't care.'

I'm not sure that there were a lot of problems
before this conversation.
But even if there was something, they shouldn't have said this.

Why do they speak own language
though they came here to study English?

I understand that many students are under pressure
of having to speak English.
But here is NewZealand.

If they can't bear the pressure,
they can go back to their country.
They have freedom of choice.

If this situation continues, they won't improve their English any more.
Ah, I'm envious of rich people.
